September 2013 Petflow Spoiled Rotten Box Review

We received our September Spoiled Rotten Box in the mail today.  Previous month's reviews can be read HERE.

The Goods

Cheese Please Baked 100% Natural Treats.  Approximate retail value $6.46.  One ingredient-dehydrated cheddar cheese.  Awesome.  My dogs are huge fans of cheese, and I am sure these treats will be a huge success.

Dogzilla Nylon Rubber Horn.  This seems sturdy enough, and I love that the packaging states that it is "NOISY".  I have been warned.  I am sure all three of mine would enjoy this, as rubber and nylon are two of their favorite things to chew on.  They seem to like varying textures.  I can already picture Bruce with the ball end in his mouth...chomp, squawk, chomp, squawk.  This will be a supervised, one woofer at a time toy.

Glow Skin & Coat Soft Chews.  Approximate retail value $8.99.  Not quite stellar ingredients, including an unnamed fat source.  This is not something I would normally purchase.  We received a product by the same company in our July Spoiled Rotten Box, and they were eaten with no issues.  I can see picky Faolan turning up his nose at these, but hopefully I am proven wrong.

Triumph Peanut Butter Super Biscuit.  Approximate retail value $1.00.  This is a huge dog biscuit.  No suspicious ingredients.  I am pleased with this.  I will offer this to Bruce, and I can picture the look in his eyes when he sees it. I am sure this is high in calories, so I will be sure that he gets light meals and no other treats the day that he receives this.

GrillerZ Natural Beef USA Hoof.  Approximate retail value $1.99(?)  This is actually kind of small for my crew, so it will be going in the bag for the shelter.  I can absolutely see how other dogs would very much enjoy it.  In fact, Sully, a family dog, loves beef hooves, and often has one brought home to him after a trip to the feed and seed.

Larry The Cable Guy Dawg Chicken Treats.  Approximate retail value $3.25.  Overall the ingredients are not bad, though this does contain yeast, which Bruce cannot have.  Nice, small treats, which would be great for use as training treats, based on their size, being soft, and smell.  Cute idea, for those who are fans of Larry the Cable Guy.  I will use these on adventures that involve only Neeko or Faolan, as Bruce won't be able to enjoy them.

Overall, I am fairly pleased with this month's Spoiled Rotten Box.  I am most excited about the cheese treats and the toy, and am sure a lucky shelter dog will enjoy the beef hoof.  The "Glow" treats are going to be hit or miss, I feel.

  2. The first two things look great. We agree with Ruby. Beef hoofs are stinky and get messy, so it's probably best to give it away.

  3. Saw a review of a new box called Bully Box geared towards bully breeds. As we know they can be tough chewers. The toys in there might be better for your pups.
