July Meat Pick Up

This I picked up my bimonthly meat order from Rodney. He has me fearful he may stop delivering to Indy. If that's the case, I'll go to him. As it stands now, he is coming in September.

I ordered a decent amount. I ordered my normal items, and a few bone-in things for bone variety.

A total of 47 lbs of beef heart.

A total of 40 lbs of pork heart.

A total of 27 lbs of beef lung. He had no pork lung available.

5 lbs of duck drumsticks. Neeko has refused to eat certain duck parts in the past, so fingers crossed for these.

10 lbs of turkey drumsticks. These are HUGE! Obviously Tom drums, not hens. It only took six to equal 10 lbs. Conveniently, they are packed three to a bag.

In the future, I might ask Rodney to clarify whether they are hen or Tom turkey parts. I ordered some necks from him once that were just massive.

I am not ordering from Raw Paws this month, which is a good thing, as my freezers are stuffed.

As always, I'm happy with my products and price paid.

  1. Do you immediately freeze everything? Do they eat the meat as is or do you grind it for them? How do you make sure they get the right combination of parts? That last one is still confusing to me.

  3. Okay... are you feeding an entire village? Or are those for the pack? LOL.

By the way, do you feed them raw, cooked or simply boiled?
