Mutts are Celebrated Each Day in My House

It seems as if there is a day for everything anymore.  Fortunately, mutts are no exception.  July 31 is one of two days deemed National Mutt Day each year.  I think it is cute, as it is meant to put a spotlight on shelter dogs. 

As the title indicates, everyday is National Mutt Day here, or at least I like to think so.  As the proud owner of three mixed breeds, I relish in their uniqueness daily.

To celebrate this national day, I snapped some photos of them this morning before work.

I love this photo, and the light on her.  Too bad a fly is also on her. 

 Neeko is most definitely a mutt.   Some GSD, some Malamute, who knows what else.  I ran a Wisdom Panel on her, and it was fairly accurate, I believe.  She is a head turning mutt.  I cannot take her anywhere without multiple people stopping and talking to me about her. 

Handsome Bruce just wanted to lay under the platform this morning.

 Bruce is probably the least muttley of my crew, because I actually know who his parents are, even though he is a rescue.  He is obviously mostly Malamute, with maybe some GSD (and a touch of wolf.)

Goofy little boy looks pitiful in his summer coat.

Sweet Faolan has had a Wisdom Panel as well, but his results weren't as believable as Neeko's.  He is my true mutt boy, as I have no idea where he originally came from.  He also is an attention getter out in public, because of his personality.

Let us all celebrate our mutts (and purebreds) today and everyday!
