Christmas Gifts for the Active Dog Owner (My Christmas Wish List...)

The items on this list are, gasp, for humans!

They are all items I would like and/or have, that make caring for dogs easier, more enjoyable, etc.

Nikon 35 mm F/1.8 Lens.  I will probably get this for myself after the first of the year.  Dachshund Nola is the main reason I want this lens.  The low F stop allows for the beautiful bokeh effect I admire in many of her photos.  It is a nice wide angle lens.

LL Bean Quad Backpack.  I regularly take my dogs out and about, hiking, to dog friendly events, swimming, and the like.  When one has large, strong dogs, having one's hands free is imperative.  I need something to hold my wallet, keys, camera, dog treats, collapsible water bowl, bottled water, and whatever else I feel is appropriate for a particular excursion.  I will be replacing my junky backpack with this one soon.  I like that it has separate compartments, allows for ventilation, has a drink carrier, and that poop bags can easily be clipped to the front (or is it the back?) of it.

Cargo Liner for SUV's.  Dog fur sticks badly to the carpet of my car.  I fold the back seats down when driving around with my dogs, so this would protect the carpet in the cargo area and on the back of the back seats.  Easy to remove, and washable.

Bogs Waterproof Boots.  I have these boots, and recommend anyone who lives somewhere cold/wet/rainy/snowy get themselves some too.  They are comfortable, warm, and waterproof.

In the creek.
They are perfect for mud, crossing the creek, snow, and working in the barn.

Keen Newport Sandals.  I also have these, and they do everything the Bogs do in warm weather.  They are supportive, and provide excellent traction, making them perfect for long, wet (or dry) hikes and creek stomping.  The toes are covered/protected, which I appreciate.

Wusthof Knife.  This list wouldn't be complete without something related to raw feeding.  I have some decent quality knives, but the thought of something that could slice through kidneys like butter makes me drool.

What are you hoping to receive (or give) for Christmas?
