Zuke's All Natural Dog Treats

A couple of weeks ago, we were the lucky winners in a Zuke's giveaway hosted by Dachshund Nola.  We received our treats yesterday!  Thanks Dachshund Mom!!

I have long been a fan of Zuke's.  Their products are made in the USA, contain natural ingredients, and my dogs love them!

We received three packages of their Lil' Links.
Zuke's Chicken and Apple

Zuke's Rabbit and Apple

Zuke's Pork and Apple
We received the Rabbit & Apple treats in our October Spoiled Rotten Box, and they have proved to be a huge hit, as have the Pork & Apple and Chicken & Apple treats.  They all contain the specified protein as the primary ingredient, along with apples, veggies, and beneficial herbs.  They are also grain-free!!

The herbs are rosemary, turmeric, and sage.  Rosemary is a known antioxidant, and is widely used as a preservative.  Sage is a natural antimicrobial, and is said to be good for gum and digestive tract health.  Turmeric has gained notoriety because it has been proven to alleviate pain, particularly arthritic and cancer pain, in both humans and animals.

The treats are the size of little Tootsie Rolls, and easily break in half for training purposes.  They also have a strong, but not unpleasant, smell.  This is probably one of the reasons, along with their soft texture, that they are so appealing to my dogs.

All three have taken these without any hesitation, including my resident treat snob/weirdo-Faolan.

I am very pleased with these, and once again, thanks to Dachshund Nola!!

Disclaimer-I won these treats.  I was not asked to review them.  All opinions are strictly my own.

  1. They look super yummy, and congratulations for winning! We get zukes for our dogs sometimes and they're generally well received. Of course, Rocco will eat anything. ;-)

Just wondering, do you like to write beyond your blog? Rocco has decided that he wants to do a NaNoWriMo novel, along with all of the other doggies out in the dog world. Would you like to be a part of it? If you'd like to, please e-mail me at bossdog AT roccoshouse DOT com, and I'll fill you in on the details! :)

  2. We love all things Zuke too. We haven't had these little links yet, but maybe we can get Mom to buy us some soon. Thanks for the great review.

  5. We use Zuke's training treats all the time... the dogs really like them, and they are tiny, perfect for training. My only complaint is that their smell really turns my stomach. But, I just try not to breathe while I am using them for training :)
