Recent Raw Meals

The prey model raw meals from the last week for my three dogs. They weigh 96, 97, and 70 lbs, but all eat roughly the same amount/weight of food.

I feed twice daily. The smaller meals are breakfast, the larger meals are dinner.

This past week, I fed eight different proteins-beef, venison, chicken, goat, pork, sheep, duck, and turkey. As with humans, variety, including species, cuts, and organs, is important.

Turkey gizzards.

Chicken leg quarter, sheep liver.

Chicken breast.

Turkey hearts, goat spleen.

Ground green tripe.

Venison ribs, sheep liver.

Pork steaks.

Turkey breast chunks, goat spleen.

PS: With the Paco barter, I just emailed them saying what I had to offer (as of right now I've bartered an iPod and some FitPaws stuff), and when they were interested in it I sent it out to them. I emailed them what I wanted, and they shipped it out once it was done. It was super easy, and I'm going to ask about bartering for a belt soon!

  2. We found a local co-op!!!! We're going to be able to get so many things that we need and I can't tell you how excited I am! Thanks for sharing your experience. You've given me a lot of ideas. Both me and my boyfriend have been on the hunt for quality meat sources and we found 2 :)

  4. I didn't realize you had wolfdogs! I just caught your "about me" section. Which explains to me the raw prey diet you give them. So do you ever give them any greens of any kind? Or just straight out protein?

Oh, and I was curious how your chicks were doing? Growing fast I bet! Are those for the dogs or did you get egg layers? Or a little of both?
