All three of my dogs can be very "cat-like" in their behaviors, but Neeko in particular is. She is crazy smart, but has zero desire to please me or make me happy, unless it benefits her. She is all about self preservation, and wants affection on her terms. She is sweet, but can be described as aloof and stand-offish. She isn't particularly interested in making friends with other people, much unlike Faolan. She is moody, and often looks at me like I have two heads. Most of the time, I am convinced she is somehow silently judging me.
But I love her so.

ReplyDeleteSounds like our dogs. They are all cat like in one way or another. Someone once told me that Huskies were cats in dog bodies. :) I have found that to be so true!
ReplyDeleteOur beagle Cricket is very cat-like as well. She has that independent streak all cats have. Yup, love her to pieces though!
