My Rotten Cats - Stella & Chewy's Freeze Dried Raw #ChewyInfluencer

I have written before about my struggles with getting my cats to eat a raw diet. As obligate carnivores, cats REQUIRE animal protein in order to survive. I have tried several forms of raw with the girls, but they are picky, picky beasts, and will only eat a few.

When presented with the opportunity to try out some freeze-dried raw for cats from Stella & Chewy's from the nice people at Chewy.com, I took it. I am fan of Stella & Chewy's in all their forms, both frozen and freeze dried. Chewy sent the dogs some freeze dried a few months ago.

The ingredients are great - salmon with ground bone, chicken with ground bone, chicken liver, chicken gizzard, etc.  Preparation couldn't be easier. Two parts food to one part water. The food can be served dry, but I am always pushing hydration on my cats, so I opted to add water.

It has a bit of a fishy smell, which makes it all the more appealing to my cats. I love watching and listening to cats eat, because they so seem to enjoy their food.

Both of my girls are very much enjoying this.  Juice is a chow hound feline, and will eat darn near anything.  Except most forms of raw.  She gobbled this up.  Noelle is a bit more selective, but she ate it without hesitation as well. Noelle refuses to eat if I am paying too close attention to her. So I was not able to capture a photo of her enjoying this.  Because she is frequently left out, here she is getting up close and personal with my camera.  Why are black animals so difficult to photograph?

I am quite pleased with this. A convenient, easy to serve form of raw that my girls more than willingly eat.  This provides a great option in my never-ending fight to incorporate more raw into their diets.

I was provided with complimentary product. All opinions are my own.

  1. I want to try this for Salem. She's always so curious about Nola's freeze dried raw, and she'll literally eat anything (she ate a baby carrot with humus at lunch today...).

  2. Now that Cosmo is on strictly canned food; I think I'll have more success with freeze dried raw. He likes one brand that I get him; I haven't tried S&C again so I'll have to pick some up and give it a go.

  5. Be that as it may, then again, for most of us, we consider this thought just an extravagance thing of a ruined feline. Be that as it may, really, a feline buggy can be extremely advantageous for a feline. Here are a couple of preferences related with them on why they really can have any kind of effect. Cat Strollers
