February 2015 BarkBox Review

We received our February BarkBox this week.  Reviews of previous and/or current BarkBoxes can be read HERE.

This month's theme is Mardi Gras, so the items have a Cajun, festive feel to them.

The Goods

Gulpy Pet Water Dispenser.  Approximate retail value $7.62.  I have actually purchased a larger version of this in the past.  Clever idea, and can be looped on a belt or tossed in a bag (it has a leak-proof valve) to be hands free.  Take the water with you!  My only complaint is that this one only holds 10 ounces, which is one large drink for any of my dogs.

Etta Says Chicken Pot Pie Little Bitz.  Approximate retail value $12.29.  I am a fan of this company.  These treats are small, soft, starch-based treats that are made in the USA.  They are yeast-free, and though the ingredient list is longer than I prefer, all ingredients are decent.  I am always on the lookout for soft treats that can be used as training treats, and these fit the bill.

Delca Jester Ball.  Approximate retail value $9.00.  Cute squeaky toy that works really well for the Mardi Gras theme.  Unfortunately, it does not feel durable enough to stand up to my dogs.

Petsafe Catfish Po' Boy Dog Treats.  Approximate retail value $7.  While I am sure these are stinky and that my dogs will LOVE them, I do not understand the need for liquid smoke in a dog treat.  Though that one ingredient is concerning to me, I will be offering these soft treats to my dogs.

Aussie Naturals Salmon Cigar Half Skin.  Approximate retail value $3.99.  A dehydrated salmon skin rolled into a cylindrical shape.  I know my dogs will love this, and I can picture all three of them scent-rolling on it.  The main question is-which dog gets to enjoy it??

Overall I am pleased with this month's BarkBox.  Two different soft treats that I am confident all of my dogs will enjoy, a practical water holder, a cute toy (that we cannot use) and a single ingredient bonus treat/chew.  To try BarkBox for yourself and save 10% off your order, click HERE.

I am a BarkBox subscriber.  I am not asked, nor encouraged to do these reviews.  All opinions are my own.

  3. That BarkBox sure was loaded with some great stuff. I think I have had treats with liquid smoke in them before and it didn't make me sick or anything. I think it is just a flavoring.
