February 2016 PetGiftBox Review and Coupon Code

Love is in the air.  At least it was in this month's PetGiftBox.  This month's theme was Valentine's Day, which is perfect, as my dogs were my fluffy Valentines.

The dogs and I are all fans of PetGiftBox.  I love the idea of subscription boxes in general, it's like a little Christmas (for your pets) every month.  Plans start at $18.99 per month, with free shipping.  Use coupon code myrottendogs to save 25% off your first box.

The Goods

Zippy Paws Emoji Plush Toy.  Approximate retail value $9.99.  This is probably my favorite emoji.  Maybe my second favorite.  Anyways, it's a cute plush toy with a squeaky.  Not durable enough for my particular dogs, but probably too cute to give to them anyways.

I woof you cookie.  Adorable cookie made by Bubba Rose biscuit company.  I'm sure it's tasty too.  Which lucky dog shall I give it to?

I Love My Dog Car Magnet. Approximate retail value $4.99.  Who doesn't?  Perfect for the Valentine's theme.

Isle of Dogs Smile Treats Approximate retail value $7.99.  Gluten-free treats, made in the USA, heart shaped.  These treats contain decent ingredients, and I am sure that Neeko and Faolan will enjoy them.  Due to them containing yeast, big boy Bruce won't be able to.  And I am sure he will throw a temper tantrum about it...

Zanies Berber Bone.  Approximate retail value $7.67.  Plush bone shaped toy with an embroidered heart.  Squeaker inside.  This is really cute, and really plush.  I will probably let Neeko play with it a bit, because it is of the texture and size of toys that she absolutely loves.

This month's box was adorable, and I love how perfectly everything fit with the theme.  I love marketing/packaging/cute stuff, and PetGiftBox gets me.  I probably get more excited about getting stuff for my dogs than I do myself, and a subscription box is an awesome way to try out new products.

November 2015 Pet Gift Box Review and Coupon Code

This month's Pet Gift Box arrived earlier this week, and as always, I was excited.  November and December are my favorite months of the year, because they include my birthday, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.  I love everything associated with the holidays.

Not surprisingly, this month's theme is Thanksgiving.

October 2015 Pet Gift Box Coupon Code and Review

It's always a good day when I see the Pet Gift Box sitting on the porch, and yesterday was such a day.

I am a huge fan of this monthly subscription box for a variety of reasons.  It offers folks the chance to try items that they may not have access to, or wouldn't normally purchase.  It's like a mini Christmas once a month.  It's very affordable.  To save more, use coupon code myrottendogs.  To read reviews of previous and/or current Pet Gift Boxes, click HERE.

This month's theme is Howloween, and all the items have a fun fall/Halloween feel to them.

The Goods

Grriggles Playful Pumpkin.  Approximate retail value $12.99.  Cute, corduroy pumpkin with a squeaker.  I am tempted to use this as a decoration rather than a dog toy.  It's that cute, and pretty good-sized.

Zanies peek-a-boo's.  Approximate retail value $7.99.  Another cute, smallish dog toy.  This is soft soft rubber, with a squeaker.  When squeezed, it squeaks, and the witch's head pops out.  Goes perfectly with the theme.  This toy is very cute, but not durable enough for my rough dogs.  I will enjoy gifting this to someone this month.

Bark Bars Halloween Cookies.  Listed retail value $4.99.  Large cookies made with pumpkin and cinnamon, amongst other ingredients.  One is a pumpkin, the other is a ghost.  These are super cute and festive.  They do contain yeast, so Bruce (who loves big cookies) will not be able to have one, but Neeko and Faolan will certainly enjoy them.

Halloween Boo-Dana.  Listed retail value $5.99.  Adorable Halloween bandana.  I am taking Faolan to a Halloween party next weekend, and this will be perfect for him to wear.

Exclusively Dog Smoochers.  Approximate retail value $5.99.  Soft round treats that are wheat, corn, and soy-free!  The treats are decent-sized, but easily break into even smaller pieces.  I am stingy with treats, particularly when using them as training/bribery treats, so I always appreciate this.  Made in the USA, these treats contain pumpkin and yogurt.

The last three month's of the year are my favorite, due to the holidays and the festiveness that goes along with each of them.  This month's Pet Gift Box is definitely putting me in the mindset.  Cute toys, cookies, and a bandana that I cannot wait to see Faolan sporting!

I was provided with complimentary product.  All opinions are my own.

September 2015 Pet Gift Box Review and Coupon Code

One of my favorite days each month is when I see a Pet Gift Box sitting on my front porch.  The September box came last week, and it made my day!

I love Pet Gift Box, because it's like a little Christmas once a month.  A box full of high quality treats, toys, supplements, or accessories for pet.  It's incredibly affordable, with plans starting at $18.99 per month, with free shipping.

Use coupon code myrottendogs to save 25% off your first box.

This month's theme is Hawaiian Lu-arf, and all the items have a fun, tropical feel to them.

The Goods

Cocotherapy Coconut Chips.  Approximate retail value $13.99.  These are simply dehydrated organic coconut.  I'm a huge fan of coconut, both for it's taste and health benefits, and my dogs are as well.  Coconut has fiber, and medium chain fatty acids which cross the blood-brain barrier.  I am excited about these, and cannot wait to offer them to my dogs, who already enjoy some coconut oil on occasion.  I'm very tempted to try some of these myself...

Hawaiian Bandana.  Approximate retain value $5.99.  This large bandana is cute, fun, and festive.  Surprisingly, these colors look great on my girl!  Her blond coat makes it difficult at times to find colors that pop on her, especially colors that are traditionally considered girly.  I love it.

Tiki Dog Luau Ahi Tuna Canned Food.  Approximate retail value $2.99.  I initially thought this was cat food, based on the small can size, and was excited.  My dogs have never had Tiki food, but the kitties have, and love it.  High quality, healthy canned food.  I will actually give this to the kitties, and they are sure to enjoy it.

(I am aware it is dog food, and does not contain supplemental taurine.  My cats get plenty of taurine in their diet.)

Ultra Chewy Tropical Bone.  Approximate retail value $3.99.  It's a chewy dog treat.  The ingredients are not stellar, but I sometimes enjoy a little junk food, as do my dogs.  I am sure Neeko will love this.

Aloha Tiki Plush Toy.  Approximate retail value $9.99.  Adorable soft toy with a rope and a squeaker.  This is really cute, and fits perfectly with this month's theme.  I really like it, but I know how rough my dogs are on plush toys, so I will gift this to a friend, or donate it to my favorite shelter for them to send home with a dog that is adopted.

As usual, I am happy with our Pet Gift Box.  It really is like Christmas, opening the box, not knowing what you are going to get.  Who doesn't love good surprises?

I was provided with complimentary product.  All opinions are my own.  This post contains affiliate links.

August 2015 Pet Gift Box and Coupon Code

We received our August Pet Gift Box last week, always an exciting day.  Reviews of current and/or previous Pet Gift Boxes can be read HERE.

I am a huge fan of Pet Gift Box.  It is affordable, with plans starting at $17.99 per month, fun, and a great way to be introduced to new, high quality products.

Use coupon code myrottendogs  to save 25% off your first box.

This month's theme is Dog Days of Summer.

The Goods

Lifeguard Beach Toy.  Unknown retail value.  Cute toy that can be used in a variety of ways.  It floats and squeaks, and could easily be used as a tug toy.  While I have not tried it out, I feel it could be tossed like a flying disk as well.

Fou-Stick Protect.  Approximate retail value $12.60.  We have received this product in the past, and I was pleased.  It looks like a giant tube of chapstick.  Intended for use on paws, nose, and skin, to protect and soothe.  Contains simple, natural ingredients-beeswax, coconut oil, mango seed butter, castor seed oil, apricot kernel oil.  I would use this product on my body, and am happy to have received.

Puppy Scoops Maple Bacon Ice Cream.  Approximate retail value $6.99.  I. Love. This.  I have already made it up, and so do the dogs.  Simply add water, mix, and freeze.  Made with lactose-free whole milk as not to cause GI upset.  I may have tasted it, and it may have been tasty...

Foufit Popsicle Dog Toy.  Unknown retail value.  Made by the same company as the Fou Stick.  Cute, plush toy that looks a creamsicle.  Yum.  While very cute, it is not durable enough for my particular dogs.  This will be gifted or donated.

Puppy Chillerz Gelatin Dog Treats.  Approximate retail value $4.99.  I am very excited about this.  Jello treats for dogs, made with limited ingredients.  Simply add hot water and refrigerate.  Gelatin is good for both humans and dogs, for joint, hair, and skin health.  I cannot wait to make these.

I am loving this month's Pet Gift Box!  Particularly the "treats" that came in it.  This is the main thing I love about Pet Gift Box, being introduced to new products.

I was provided with complimentary product.  Pet Gift Box is not responsible for the content of this post.

June 2015 Pet Gift Box

We received our June Pet Gift Box today!  Reviews of previous and/or current Pet Gift Boxes can be read HERE.

Pet Gift Box is very affordable, starting at $17.99 per month.  Use coupon code myrottendogs to save 25% off your first box!

This month's theme is Jurassic Bark, coinciding with the release of the newest Jurassic Park movie, Jurassic World, this month.

The Goods

Petlou Dinosaur Plush.  Approximate retail value $8.99.  Adorable squeaky toy that goes perfectly with this month's theme.  My dogs have shown me countless times that they cannot be trusted with plush toys.  This toy will be gifted or donated to a dog who knows how to properly play with plush toys.

Raptor Claw.  Approximate retail value $9.99.  This is a dehydrated turkey foot, and looks very much like it belongs to a dinosaur.  This is quite substantial, and I'd guess it is at least 9-10" in length.  I plan on giving this to Bruce, because I know big boy will be enchanted by it.

I'd Rather Be With My Dog treats.  Approximate retail value $9.99.  I LOVE the name of this company, and am quite surprised I had not heard of them until now.  I am a fan.  These are "paleo" treats, and designed for GI health.  This company also sells apparel accessories, and donates 10% of their sales each month to a different rescue.

Love....

Beastie Bars.  Approximate retail value $1.75 each. (When purchased in bulk.) Large dog treats with a clever name.  One is chicken based, one beef based, and both contain decent ingredients.  We have received these in the past, and they went over well.  I am looking forward to offering these to my dogs.

D.O.G. Bakery Dino Tracks dog cookies.  Approximate retail value $3.99.  These cookies have dinosaur tracks (which resemble chicken tracks) imprinted on them.  They are organic spelt based, and contain simple, quality ingredients.  Not only that, they are cute!

I am once again impressed with Pet Gift Box.  If you are interested in a less expensive (but high quality) pet subscription box, I cannot recommend them enough!

I was provided with complimentary product.  All opinions are my own.

May 2015 Pet Gift Box Review

We recently received our May PetGiftBox!  Reviews of past and/or current PetGiftBoxes can be read HERE.

As I have mentioned in the past, I love how affordable PetGiftBox is, starting at only $17.99 per month, with free shipping.  They do not skimp on quality, though.

To save 25% off your first box, use coupon code myrottendogs.

This month's theme is Memorial Day, honoring and celebrating the Armed Forces.

As always, love the personalized touch!

The Goods

Pawtriotic Cranberry Recipe Dog Treats. Approximate retail value $8.35.  Wheat, corn, and soy-free treats made in the USA with simple USA-sourced human grade ingredients.  These are smallish crunchy biscuits made of rye, carrot puree, and cranberries.  Crunchy biscuits are some of Bruce's favorite treats, and these are of excellent quality.  The company contributes a portion of proceeds to charitable organizations.  I like them already!

Imagine This Patriotic Paw Print Magnet. Approximate retail value $5.99.  Cute car magnet that is made in the US.  I have actually never seen this design before, so I am impressed.

U.S. Army Canteen Dog Toy.  Approximate retail value $7.95.  Surprisingly durable squeaker toy that fits in very well with this month's theme.  I think Neeko and Faolan will very much enjoy playing with this.  It has the texture and squeaker that they both love.

America's Vet Dogs Dog Treats.  Approximate retail value $6.00.  I have purchased these treats before, and my dogs LOVE them.  These soft treats are made by Bil-Jac, and support America's Vet Dogs, an organization that provides various types of assistance/service dogs to disabled veterans.  These treats are slightly larger than a typical training treat, and my dogs go nuts for them.

U.S. Army Bear Recruit Toy.  Approximate retail value $7.95.  Super cute plush toy.  Unfortunately, I do not think it is quite durable enough for my particular dogs.  I know many veterans with dogs, and I am thinking that one of these dogs might enjoy this toy and play with it appropriately, so it will be gifted to them.

As usual, I am impressed with PetGiftBox.  The price compared to the value is unbeatable.  I love how they include products which help out other organizations.  Have you tried PetGiftBox yet?

I was provided with complimentary product.  All opinions are strictly my own.

April 2015 Pet Gift Box Review and Coupon Code.

We received our April Pet Gift Box today!  Reviews of current and/or past Pet Gift Boxes can be read HERE.

Pet Gift Box is just $17.99 per month, with free shipping.

This month's theme is Earth Day/Eco-friendly products.

Love the personalization!

The Goods

Bubba Rose Biscuit Company Earth Day cookie.  Retail value $3.99.  This simple ingredient cookie is made with some organic ingredients.  We received a cookie from this company in last month's box, and Bruce LOVED it!

Earth Rated Poop Bags and Dispenser.  Approximate retail value $5.99.  Lavender scented poop bags in a dispenser that attaches to a leash.  As an added bonus, the dispenser has a hook to hold "used" poop bags, keeping it hands free.  This will definitely be put to good use.

Pet Greens Jerky Treats.  Approximate retail value $5.99.  My dogs love jerky style treats.  These contain beef and wheat grass, and are grain, gluten, and yeast free.  They are touted as a source of green nutrition, and I know my dogs will love them!

Absolutely Clean Pet Stain & Odor Remover.  Approximate retail value $4.00.  Chemical-free and plant-based enzymatic cleaner.  While the dog door prevent accidents, Bruce occasionally has what I call a "hunger puke" in which he vomits up a bit of bile because he is hungry.  I am sure this will work well in these instances.

K9 Granola Factory Quacks.  Approximate retail value $14.98.  These biscuit treats are corn, wheat, soy, and yeast-free!  They are made in the US with simple ingredients.  Neeko in particular loves blueberry treats, and I cannot wait to offer her some of these.  I am sure they will be a hit.

PetLou Naturally Twisted toy.  Approximate retail value $11.69.  This toy is really, really cute.  And it squeaks.  I will be gifting this to a friend or family member (or the shelter) for a dog who is not quite as rough on toys as my dog is.  It is soft, and made with a variety of different materials for different textures.

I am again impressed with Pet Gift Box.  We received two bags of treats I am sure my dogs will enjoy, a gourmet cookie, a cleaning product, a very useful poop bag dispenser, and a darling toy.  There price of $17.99 per month puts them well-below most other subscription boxes, but the quality of the items is great.

I was provided with complimentary product.  All opinions are my own.

March 2015 Pet Giftbox Review

We recently received the March Pet Giftbox.  Pet Giftbox is a month to month (no contracts!) subscription box service for dogs and cats.  It is quite inexpensive at $17.99 per month compared to many other subscription boxes available.

This month's theme is March Madness/basketball.

One of my favorite things about the Pet Giftbox is that not only are the contents hand packed and customized, but my dogs' names are on the shipping label.

The Goods

Pride Bites Hip Sneaker Toy.  Approximate retail value $9.99.  This is our first Pride Bites toy, but I do know this line of toys is a favorite amongst other dog owners.  It is cute, squeaks, floats, and is machine washable.  While not meant to be a chew toy, it does feel pretty sturdy.  I am happy to have received it.

Muttz-rrr-ella Dental Chews.  Approximate retail value $17.98.  While indicated for "small" dogs, I have already offered one each of these to my dogs.  They went over well.  These little suckers are heavy.  While they don't contain the worst ingredients, they aren't the greatest either.  But they do not contain yeast, so Bruce can have his dental treat fix with these.  I eat food that is not the greatest from time to time, so why shouldn't my dogs?

Fou-Stick Soothe.  Approximate retail value $9.19.  One cannot tell from the photo, but this looks like a huge stick of chapstick.  It is a balm indicated for dry cracked skin, particularly on a dog (or cat's) nose or paws.  It smells very nice, and contains safe, natural ingredients, including beeswax and coconut oil.  I am half tempted to use this for myself.  Neeko's nose has a tendency to be dry on top this time of year, so this will go to good use.  It is safe if licked off.

Spot Plush Basketball.  Approximate retail value $4.72.  Cute, soft basketball toy with a squeaker, sporting the colors of the Lakers.  It goes well with this month's March Madness theme.  While it doesn't seem exceptionally durable, Faolan occasionally enjoys a game of indoor fetch, and this would be perfect for it.

Licks Liquid Vitamin.  Approximate retail value $2.60.  We have received other supplements from this company in the past, and I have no complaints about them, and the dogs ate them without hesitation.  This particular formula is meant to be given after strenuous activity, and contains Omega 3's, glucosamine, L-carnitine, and B vitamins.

Zuke's Power Bones.  Approximate retail value $4.54.  We have long been fans of Zuke's.  These treats are meat based, and contain no corn, wheat, or yeast.  They are soft and aromatic, which basically ensures that my dogs will love them.  I am happy to have received these.

Bubba Rose Biscuit Company Cookie.  Unknown retail value.  Adorable basketball cookie made with some organic ingredients.  It is wheat, corn, soy and gluten-free.  Simple, quality ingredients.  I would eat it myself.  The difficult thing is deciding which dog gets it.

Overall, I am VERY impressed with this Pet Giftbox.  Two full size bags of treats, two toys, one care product, a supplement sample, and a gourmet cookie.  By my calculations, the total value is at least $49.02, which is fantastic compared to the monthly cost of the Pet Giftbox.

I was provided with complimentary product.  All opinions are strictly my own.
